Not Much For Christmas

I know Christmas is about the spirit and not the gifts, but I'm feeling a little down because my family got me shit for Christmas. Just boxers and socks. Really? I would have even gone for an ugly sweater. I don't mean to be petty but come on people -- put a little effort into it.

I should donate the boxers and socks (unworn) to charity. It will make me feel better and get me back into the spirit. This shouldn't bug me as much as it does.

More Action Animals

Inspired by Rocket Raccoon of Guardians of the Galaxy fame, here's a list of action-oriented animals that didn't quite make the cut.

  • Anti-tank Ape
  • Blood Bat
  • Boxer Badger
  • Champion Condor
  • Crusader Caterpillar
  • Detonator Donkey
  • Gunpowder Gull
  • Hurricane Horse
  • Invader Ibis
  • Judo Jackal
  • Nuke Newt
  • Shrapnel Sparrow
  • Taser Termite
  • Violent Vulture
  • Whirlwind Wasp

Whirlwind Wasp sounds pretty cool. Wouldn't want to tangle with him!

Speaking of Guardians of the Galaxy, just read that TellTale games is making an adventure game based on the GoTG universe!

I'm Here. Now What?

Hey, I'm here. This is my blog. Boo-yah!

It's National Be Kind to Lawyers Day

No, really. There is a day known as National Be Kind to Lawyers Day. It happens on the second Tuesday of April each year. The holiday was created by a guy named Steve Hughes (who is not a lawyer) to honor members of the legal profession who help us with a variety of problems like setting up a business, negotiating contracts, or perhaps even keeping us out of jail.

Lawyers have a much-maligned profession -- many people think that's with good reason -- but National Be Kind to Lawyers Day provides one day out of the year, strategically placed between April Fool's Day (April 1) and U.S. Tax day (April 15), where everyone is encouraged to treat lawyers like normal people.

On Wednesday, you can go back to despising them as usual.

Here's when NBKTLD will be celebrated over the next few years:

2016 - Tuesday, April 12
2017 - Tuesday, April 11
2018 - Tuesday, April 10
2019 - Tuesday, April 9
