It's National Be Kind to Lawyers Day

No, really. There is a day known as National Be Kind to Lawyers Day. It happens on the second Tuesday of April each year. The holiday was created by a guy named Steve Hughes (who is not a lawyer) to honor members of the legal profession who help us with a variety of problems like setting up a business, negotiating contracts, or perhaps even keeping us out of jail.

Lawyers have a much-maligned profession -- many people think that's with good reason -- but National Be Kind to Lawyers Day provides one day out of the year, strategically placed between April Fool's Day (April 1) and U.S. Tax day (April 15), where everyone is encouraged to treat lawyers like normal people.

On Wednesday, you can go back to despising them as usual.

Here's when NBKTLD will be celebrated over the next few years:

2016 - Tuesday, April 12
2017 - Tuesday, April 11
2018 - Tuesday, April 10
2019 - Tuesday, April 9
